I get that app developers need to make money with their free app versions, and so that requires advertising, but for the love of god, there is no need for the sharing of our location data. While I have seen a recent decrease in the number of pop ups before I can even view the monitor, it was getting out of control for a while. It has nothing to do with the actual functionality of the app. The justification the app uses for requiring location information is to serve us relevant location specific ads.

I turned location data back on and it started working instantly. Then the app stopped working, saying there was a connection problem with my camera. I noticed that every time I log in my phone starts sharing my location, so I turned it off. I bought this monitor to be able to check in from where ever I was. I should not have to be sharing my location information to check in on my child.
